Varna Aquarium is located in The Sea Garden and is one Varna’s best known attractions. It is a center popularizing Black Sea flora and fauna as well as Black sea hydrologic characteristics.
The exposition shows representatives of all fish groups in the Black sea. Best presented are the ones from The Mediterranean inhabited the Black sea through the Bosphorus. Black sea fauna consists of around 140 species.
The exhibition also presents many species of freshwater fish, as well as some exotic representatives. In the other two exhibition halls, visitors can see taxidermied specimens from the World Ocean, trace the migration of fish, visually explore the marine food chain, and learn about the structure and specific characteristics of the Black Sea.
Visitors could reach The Aquarium by public bus lines 17A, 20 to bus stops "Baseyna" and "Festivalen k-s".
