The courtyard of the Archaeological Museum - Varna

From October 3 to 5, 2024, from 12:00 to 18:00, the Archaeological Museum - Varna will host a medieval festival "Knights in the Museum" on the occasion of the 580th anniversary of the Battle of Varna in 1444.
You'll learn how the inhabitants of the medieval knight's camp spent their time before battle, how their training, tournaments and games went. There will be interactive demonstrations and prize competitions for visitors.
Polish restorers from the "Representative Knights Group of Warmia and Mazuria" "Northern Legend" and from the Bulgarian Association for Historical Restoration "Chigot" will be visiting.

14:00 – 16:00 – archery tournament
17:00 – 18:00 – demonstrations of fighting with long swords
13:00 – 18:00 – knightly and plebeian games and classes for visitors:

• archery at a target
•  safe sword fights,
•  skill games: throwing safe knives at the target,
•  "fun with the executioner",
• minting coins.
