In the program, the best of Johann Strauss (son) - waltzes, choirs, ensembles, duets and arias from "The Bat", "The Gypsy Baron", "Viennese Blood", etc.

Dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss, the emotional performance will take the audience to a lavish ball with the composer's eternal and captivating music as the main "actor". Strauss is the author of over 500 waltzes, polkas, marches, as well as a large number of operettas. Called the "King of the Waltz", he made a huge contribution to the popularity of this dance in Vienna in the 19th century. Soloists, choir and ballet of the Varna State Opera will present excerpts from "The Bat", "The Gypsy Baron", "Viennese Blood", as well as the emblematic "On the Beautiful Blue Danube", "Radetzky March" and others. The conductor is Piotr Sulkowski.
Piotr Sulkowski has extensive operatic experience, gained during his work as a conductor (1995–2007), and later as artistic director of the Krakow Opera (2006–07) and music director of the Wildwood Opera Festival in Little Rock, Arkansas (USA). He has prepared a number of opera premieres, including several world premieres. Sulkowski is a co-founder of the Krakow Chamber Opera and has staged several productions there. In 2008–09, he worked as deputy director of the Polish Radio Choir. From 2009 to 2011, he was artistic director of the Toruń Symphony Orchestra. From 2008 to 2014, he was first guest conductor of the Signature Symphony Orchestra in Tulsa, Oklahoma (USA).
