
This is one of just a few round squares in Varna, also known as "Shishkova Garden". It is named after the renowned doctor Danail Shishkov who actively helped for the square's present appearance.
It is centrally located and it is a point to "Mihail Koloni", "Stefan Karadzha", "Prespa", "Odrin", "Sv. Kliment", "27 Yuli" and "Stefan Bogoridi" streets. In historical plan the square had gathered three quarters as well - the Armenian, the Gagauz and the Greek quarters in Varna. The buildings surrounding the square are of typical for the 20s and the 50s of 20th century architecture.
