The zoo disposes 72 different kinds of animals and birds, among which are ostrich, panther, llamas, camel, lions, tiger, pink pelican, peacock, etc. The Zoo has created good water base among rich greenary suitable for water birds habitat. Visitors can watch the natural behavior of birds, while they float or plunge into the three cascade lakes.
The Zoo cares for 17 protected kinds of birds and animals, included in the Red Book of Bulgaria for endangered species. Among the most interesting inhabitants are a couple of black swans - the only ones of that kind in Bulgaria.
Children and adults are also attracted by a couple of kangaroos, which came here in the end of 2007.
You can get to the Zoo by public buses 9, 14, 109, 409, bus stop "Akatsiite".
