“The secret beach" of Varna is a place with northeastern explosure and diffucult access. It is not very famous and therefore poorly attended.
The beach is called “Romantika” (romantic place) for a reason. The place will astonish you with dense forest, rocks and a quiet, sheltered 500m long beach as well as a small pier for visitors approaching from the sea.
Situated near the southernmost suburb in Varna “Galata”, providing a gorgeous view to Varna city and the Black Sea, the beach is the last one in Varna bay facing the canal.
If you prefer calm and secluded beach away from the city noise, or if you search the perfect diving spot choose the direction “Galata cape” lighthouse and at the end of unpaved road you can leave your car near the forest. There are steps leading exactly to the beach and within 10 minutes you will reach the pier. From there you will have to overcome a rough 150m long terrain but after that you will step on a clean and exotic beach.
The sun sets early here and it might be a little bit cooler but you will enjoy a magnificent sea view.
If you choose these beach do not forget to bring your own beach accessories, some snacks and water as here there is nowhere to buy some.
If you go by bus public bus lines 17, 17а, 46, 60 you will get off at Galata suburb center (bus stop “Galata Center”). You need to walk for over a kilometer direction “Galata cape” lighthouse.
