European Night of Museums is one of the most significant cultural events in the contemporary European calendar, established as a sustainable initiative that attracts millions of visitors each year. It was launched by the French Ministry of Culture and today brings together thousands of museums and galleries across dozens of countries.
Every spring, during a special evening in May, museums, galleries, and creative spaces open their doors with free admission, offering visitors the opportunity to experience cultural heritage and contemporary art in an inspiring and unconventional way.
Varna is among the cities that actively participate in the initiative. Since 2016, the European Night of Museums has become an important part of the cultural life of the seaside capital.
