The oldest Bulgarian summer seaside resort offers picturesque coast and cozy beaches. It is not a surprise that more than 110 years ago the thalassotherapy in Bulgaria started here.
The beach strip is 3.5 km long and it is situated in immediate proximity to deciduous trees and healing mineral waters. Climate here is quite suitable for balneo and climate therapy providing high humidity and iodine vapor. Here the opportunity to combine mineral with sea water is key advantage, and it is so rare comparing to other places.
The terrain features and the erosion as well as the subsequent coastal fortification activities divide the resort beach strip into several beaches: Sahara 1 and Sahara 2, St. St Constantine and Helena northern and southern beach, St. St Constantine and Helena large beach, Mineral pool north, Mineral pool south and St. Elias.
Visiting any of them you will find beach equipment, water attractions and everything you need for an enjoyable summer holiday. Nearby there are restaurants and leisure activities as well.
The picturesque shore with its unique rocky formations, lovely sceneries and public facilities makes it a favourite place for citizens and guests of Varna for long romantic walks.
You can visit the beaches by car or by public bus lines 9, 209b, 409 (bus stops “Balkan”, “Botanicheska gradina”, “Minyor”) and bus line 31a to bus stops “Letovishte (kpp)” and “Sv. sv. Konstantin and Elena” to the resort center). After walking for a while you will reach the beach. Access to the beach is available for disabled guests as well.
