Mimi Rumenova creates series that revolve around recurring themes and imagery from everyday life. Her subjects are real people—sometimes including self-portraits—who, however, shed their specific identities to become universal figures. They exist on the boundary between the real and the imaginary: lost in thought, detached, and carrying untold stories. "Short Urban Stories" is a solo exhibition marking the artist's return to the Varna art scene after a 15-year absence. Hosted by the A&G Art Meeting Gallery, the exhibition opens on October 28, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Specifically for this venue, Mimi Rumenova has created 15 oil-on-canvas compositions, in which she introduces new elements to her painting style.
