Monument to the great sculptor Kiril Shivarov was inaugurated in December 2015. It was created by prof. Plamen Bratanov. The monument is to be seen in the small city garden next to "Georgi Rakovski" High School of Trade.
Kiril Shivarov (1887 – 1938) is one of Varna greatest artists. His art can be seen in a number of buildings in Varna and in Bulgaria as well.
Some of the most famous sculptures of Shivarov are those of Varna University of economics, The Fountain of the Sirens in the Sea garden, Asparouh monument in the Asparouh park, Paisii of Hilendar monument in the National Revival Alley in the Sea garden.
