Rotunda “The seal” is a ground overlooking Varna bay. It’s only this part that have been preserved from a previous panoramic ground called “Trakata”. There is also a monument to the monk seal there located near the route leading to Trakata area (the area is situated along the main road to Euxinograd residence).
When the main road to the resorts near Varna was constructed the arch and the monument were already in place. The stone seating alcove and the monument itself are in a classic Russian Black Sea resorts style from mid-20th century. In the past the ground was a favourite place for all visitors.
