The Walk sculpture was created by sculptor Veselin Kostadinov. It is located on Knyaz Boris I Boulevard near Svyat Square, a popular meeting place for both residents and visitors of Varna.
The idea for the sculpture comes from the artist’s personal observations of life on this street. According to Veselin Kostadinov, the street has a unique atmosphere, shaped by its beautiful architecture and the people walking, waiting, observing, hurrying, or shopping.
Drawing inspiration from the symbols of this boulevard, Veselin Kostadinov created the figure of a young woman in a hurry, either to meet someone or for a walk.
The sculpture, placed in the spring of 2017, stands 2.2 m high and is made of brass and stained glass.
