Sts. Constantine and Helena Resort is the first officially recognized Black Sea resort. It is situated 8 km north of Varna city /16 km away from Varna airport/ amidst an area of remarkably splendid natural beauty.
The terrain is a natural terrace above the sea of about 10-15 m height. The entire resort is covered with many-years broad-leaved forest reaching the sea coast. The seaside coast is more than 3.5 km long. In the resort there are tennis courts, children playgrounds and a football ground, outdoor and indoor mineral water pools and 2 yachting ports with the capacity to accommodate 40 medium-size yachts.
One of major advantages of the resort is the availability of seven mineral springs with depth from 1800 to 2050 m and a general capacity of 175 l/sec together with 40°C to 60°C mineral water temperature.
The mineral water at Sts. Constantine and Helena is known for its beneficial effects in the treatment of cardiovascular conditions, with its impact further enhanced by the local climate. It also has a positive influence on disorders of the endocrine system, including diabetes, obesity, gout, as well as conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system and the functional nervous system. The resort is also recognized as one of the most suitable destinations for recovery and rehabilitation following myocardial infarctions. During the summer months, the mineral water and climate are particularly beneficial for various conditions of the upper respiratory tract and certain chronic skin conditions, such as psoriasis, for which modern medicine has yet to offer a definitive cure. The combined effect of the mineral water and the climate contributes to overall well-being, strengthens the immune system, and helps reduce stress and fatigue.
The beaches are open from May to October and offer tourists a variety of attractions and recreational opportunities such as water skiing, surfing, jet skiing, sunbathing and pleasant walks.
