From July 10 to 12, the Varna Bay will host the traditional International Regatta "Varna 2026".
For three days, the bay's waters will be filled with the sails of competitors in the Optimist, 420, ILCA 4, ILCA 6, ILCA 7 and FINN classes. The races will be held near the coast, which will give the residents and guests of Varna the opportunity to watch the races up close and experience the beauty of sailing.
Nearly 150 young competitors from Bulgaria and abroad will participate in the regatta, competing for the trophies named after the legendary captain Georgi Georgiev - the first Bulgarian sailor to circumnavigate the world on a yacht.
The Varna 2026 International Regatta is included in the calendar of the Bulgarian Sailing Federation and is held with the support of the Municipality of Varna and Port of Varna EAD, which traditionally assist in organizing the event.
