Over 600m long, the South beach is the most spacious and widest beach of all Varna city beaches. Stretching from the area beneath the Aquarium and the Astronomical observatory "Nicolaus Copernicus" to “Primorski” public pool the beach invites you with numerous water activities, sunbeds and parasols, beach sports and shallow calm sea.
One of South beach symbols, the water slide offers unforgattable moments for kids and adults. From the sea port nearby you can start your sea adventure on attraction ships, offering sailing trips, pirate parties, etc. Clubs, bars, restaurants and night life attractions are located directly on the beach.
The seaside promenade begins from here and stretches to “Ribarski” northern beach and the Sea garden.
Vehicles are not allowed on the pedestrian street or in the Sea Garden. If you go to the beach by car you could leave your vehicle on the parking places along “Primorski” Blvd. and reach the beach in ten minutes walk through the park.
Nearby there is a public transport bus stop “Baseyna” for city bus lines 17a, 20 and 39.
This is also the place where the Tourist Attraction Train starts its route along the promenade.
The beach is favourite for citizens and guests of Varna because of its convenient location. Numerous Varna sights are located nearby – The Sea garden, museums and Varna historical center, too.
